1. BACHELOR OF DIVINITY (BD) - Serampore Affiliated
The majority of UBS students take the BD degree affiliated to the Senate of Serampore College. This is a four-year residential course of preparation for Christian ministry. BD graduates of UBS are now engaged in a variety of ministries in India and overseas. Many are ordained as ministers in their denominations, others serve in parachurch organizations and some teach in seminaries and bible colleges.
Admission Requirements
Candidates should hold a Bachelor's Degree and pass the entrance examination set by UBS. Mature candidates over 25 years holding PUC or HSC must pass a qualifying examination conducted by the Senate of Serampore before they make application to UBS. (Details regarding the qualifying examination for a mature candidate can be obtained from the Registrar, Senate of Serampore College, Serampore PO, Hooghly Distrist, West Bengal, 712201.) Those sponsored by member bodies of the Union Biblical Seminary Association, provided they meet the above entrance requirements, will be given priority of admission.
2. MASTER OF DIVINITY (MDiv) - Asia Thelogical Association Accredited
MDiv (Missiology) is a specialized course in mission studies accredited by the Asia Theological Association. The degree is designed for prospective and mid-career missionaries and mission executives. The three-fold objective of the course is to promote knowledge and understanding of missiology, growth in Christian discipleship, and skills for cross-cultural ministry. This is achieved by a holistic combination of theory and practice.
Admission Requirements
Candidates should hold a Bachelor's Degree and pass the entrance examination set by UBS. Mature candidates over 25 years holding PUC or HSC will be considered and may be accepted if they pass a qualifying examination comprising five subjects. Preference is given to those with prior mission experience.
3. Doctor of Theology in Old Testament
